Odsonne Edouard 8/5 to score anytime against AEK Athens in Wednesdays Champions League qualifier

Competition: Champions League qualifier

Market: Odsonne Edouard to score anytime

Odds: 8/5 @ Bet 365

Knowing the importance of getting an early advantage at Celtic Park on Wednesday, Brendan Rodger’s Hoops will look to move one step closer to booking their spot in the Champions League when they welcome Greek league leaders AEK Athens to Glasgow.

Starting with Wednesday nights hosts, after completing another domestic clean sweep for the second year on the bounce, former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodger’s knows nothing short of that will be tolerated this time around. After getting their Scottish title defense underway with a 3-1 win against Livingston over the weekend, while The Hoops could be missing the likes of Moussa Dembele and midfielder Olivier Ntcham doubtful with an ankle injury, Rodger’s will be looking for forward Odsonne Edouard to carry on his impressive form. Along with bagging one in Saturday’s win, the talented 20-year-old now has three in his last three.

As for the visitors, The Greek champions emerged from a 24-year slumber to claim the league last season and have real designs on continuing their return to glory in QR3. While they have now managed to pick up just one win in their last five in all competitions, AEK will certainly be a step up for Celtic as they were unbeaten in any Europa League outing last season on route to the last 32. However, although they may have managed to put three past Turkish powerhouses Galatasaray in a friendly matchup last week, AEK had failed to find the net in their five of their other six outings and they will not be helped by news that striking talisman is unlikely to feature after picking up a head injury that required stitches.
