(GSM) – Germany’s star performer Mesut Oezil has pledged his immediate future to Werder Bremen following increased interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the likes Arsenal and Barcelona, but one of Germany’s most influential at the World Cup has stated that he is happy in the Bundesliga.

“Bremen want me to fulfil the contract and so do I,” Ozil told Bild. “I have always said that I want to fulfil my contract, that is important to me.”

Asked whether he could sign an extension, he said: “It’s not out of the question. We can take another look mid-season.”
