Veteran Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids has come out of retirement to complete a shock move to English NPower Championship side Crystal Palace. The 37 year old has signed a one year pay as you play deal with the Eagles.
The transfer marks Davids’ return to England after a gap of three years. His last English club was Tottenham Hotspur, whom he represented between 2005 and 2007.
Davids began his career with Ajax Amsterdam and was part of the youthful squad that clinched the 1995 Champions League. A year later, he moved to AC Milan. Davids has also played for the other two giants for Italian football- Internazionale and Juventus.
