Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna has revealed that he is flattered by the interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been closely monitoring the player for a while now with a view of luring him to Old Trafford in the summer.
United scouts were in Turin to watch the player in the 2-1 defeat to Roma, and the Italy international says he is proud to be linked to such a great club.
“If they came to see me, this obviously flatters me, but right now I don’t think about the future,” the 24-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
“I live in the present and, just like all my team mates, I think only of Torino’s salvation.”
Angelo Ogbonna hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth this season having missed a big part of the league campaign through injury, but he is, nonetheless, still held in high regard by top European clubs.
Torino’s €20 million valuation could prove to be an obstacle to any deal, although the interested sides are obviously hoping to lower the asking price.
Ogbonna has featured in 141 Serie A games for Torino, while he has 5 Italy caps to his name.
