Torino’s club president Urbano Cairo has confirmed that Chelsea defender Ola Aina, who spent last season on loan with the Italian club, will now be making a permanent switch over to Stamford Bridge. The 22 year old turned a lot of heads during is spell with the club, registering one goal in 32 appearances to go alongside a string of strong showings.
“We exercised our option to buy Ola Aina, as well as [Christian] Ansaldi and [Koffi] Djidji,” he said. “Now Torino own all their players.”
It’s been a long saga for Torino and at times some were wondering whether or not they’d be able to get the deal over the finish line, but now, it’s quite clear to see that they’re in business.
If they can get this signed, sealed and delivered quickly, then it’ll free them up for the rest of the summer as they attempt to go in search of some more top names.
