Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero is reporting that Lazio are considering a move on Benfica forward Ola John.
The club officials have confirmed they are in the market for a new striker following injury to centre forward Filip Djordjevic and they were in turn linked with Gonzalo Bergessio, Giampaolo Pazzini and German Denis.
According to Il Messaggero, the Biancocelesti are also keeping close tabs on Benfica starlet Ola John.
Lazio chiefs have excellent relationship with the player’s agent Mino Raiola and could try and lure the Dutch forward to Stadio Olimpico before the January transfer window closes.
But, while the 22-year-old had seen very little action in the opening exchanges, he has recently started several matches for the senior side, scoring two goals in last three appearances.
As a result, Benfica coach Jorge Jesus might not be prepared to let him join Lazio on a season long loan in the January transfer window.
