Olic keen on Premier League switch

Wolfsburg striker Ivica Olic has revealed an ambition to play in the Premier League amid doubts over his future, Sky Sports understands.

The Croatia international has spent the past seven seasons in the Bundesliga, first with Hamburg then Bayern Munich, before moving to Die Wolfe in on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.

However, with his contract due to expire in the summer, he has conceded that he may be ready for a new challenge.

The 34 year old will have the option to extend his spell with Dieter Hecking’s side in the summer, though with his playing career drawing to a close, he is considering his options, one of which being a move to England.

Stoke City have previously registered an interest in the forward, who has said that the opportunity to come up against teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea is one that excites him.
