Ivica Olic has confirmed that he will definitely leave Bayern Munich in 2012 as he set his sights on re-launching his career elsewhere.
The Croatia international has been struggling to get regular first-team action at Bayern this term, and recently said that he wants to move on this winter.
Bayern, however, appear to be reluctant to let go of the experienced attacker, and Olic has now stressed that he could stay until the end of the season, but will definitely not sign an extension to his expiring contract.
“I’d say there’s a 50 percent chance that I leave the club in the winter. I am definitely moving on at the end of the season, though,” Olic told Bild newspaper.
“I don’t have any problem staying until the end of my contract. It’s not as if I desperately want to leave this winter. We will just have to wait and see what happens until January and then make a decision.”
“It might even be better for me if I stay put this winter. That would definitely have plenty of advantages for my family.”
The 32-year-old joined Bayern from Hamburg in the summer of 2009 and has gone on to score 20 goals in over 50 competitive appearances for FCB.
