Oliver Skipp is on the verge of leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Leicester City in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Skipp has completed his medical, with Tottenham and Leicester now in full agreement over a deal.
Skipp has been on the books of Tottenham since 2008 and has come through the North London club’s youth academy. The 23-year-old midfielder, who had a loan spell at Norwich City in the 2020-21 season, is now part of Spurs’ first team, but he is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.
Football Insider has claimed that Leicester will pay Tottenham £20 million plus add-ons for Skipp, who is deemed surplus to requirements by Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou. Skipp has made 77 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored one goal in those games. Tottenham will be aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Leicester’s aim is to make sure that they do not get relegated back to the Championship.
