West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson is close to signing a new contract with the club, according to ESPN.
The thirty-two year old’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the summer and the Midlands club are keen to secure his services.
He joined the Baggies from Dutch side N.E.C in the summer on 2008 and has so far racked up two hundred and thirty-seven appearances for the club in all competitions scoring thirteen goals.
Internationally he has been capped twenty-five times for Sweden and scored his only goal for his country in a 3-2 friendly defeat to Argentina in February 2013, while he was part of the squad that went to the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
Tony Pulis’ side held league leaders Leicester City to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday evening and now sit twelve points clear of the bottom three.
