Olympiakos beat AEK, PAOK held at Panionios

Defending Greek champions Olympiakos earned a 1-2 defeat over local rivals AEK Athens, while PAOK were held to a goalless draw at Panionios.

Vassilis Torosidis was the hero for Olympiakos, scoring both of the away side’s goals against AEK. The defender first hit the target in the 43rd minute, to do so again in the 55th.

Krisztian Nemeth pulled one back for AEK five minutes after the hour, but Olympiakos held on to their lead to move up to second position. AEK drop to sixth.

PAOK dropped points for the third consecutive time, this time at Panionios. As a result, the Saloniki outfit are now in eighth position at seven points from leaders Panathinaikos.
