(GSM) – Olympiakos Piraeus beat Larissa 2-1 to Sunday to remain at an acceptable distance from Greek leaders Panathinaikos.

‘Pana’ had won their match with Xanthi on Saturday, putting pressure on Olympiakos to avoid the gap growing from five to eight points.

Enzo Maresca put the defending champions in the lead after 37 minutes against Larissa, followed by the home side’s second goal, from Luciano Galletti three minutes later.

Panagiotis Katiaros pulled one back late on but Olympiakos held on to their lead for a 2-1 win.
