Olympiakos Piraeus suffered their first defeat of the Greek season and as such left the top spot to rivals Panathinaikos.

Defending champions Olympiakos visited Aris Saloniki, knowing that a win was needed to reconquer the top spot in the Super League.

But instead, it was Aris to take the victory thanks to a 70th-minute goal from Javier Campora.

With half of the season played, Panathinaikos are in the lead with 38 points. Olympiakos follow at two points, while nearest competitors PAOK are far behind with 28 points.
