(GSM) – The 2010-11 Greek season did not go quite as expected for Olympiakos Piraeus, as the Athens outfit lost their opener 2-1 at Iraklis.

Things went according to play for Olympiakos when forward Kostas Mitroglou scored the opening goal in the 59th minute.

Manager Ewald Lienen then sacrificed the goalscorer to give new signing Marko Pantelic a chance to show his abilities, but the move did not pay off as Iraklis fought their way back into the match.

A penalty goal from Romanian Bogdan Mara leveled the score in the 79th minute and home fans were given another reason to celebrate seven minutes later when young substitute Apostolos Vellios netted the winner.
