Olympique Lyonnais host Ajax at the Stade des Lumières in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final on Thursday evening, in a game that could see the Ligue 1 outfit come out on top but ultimately still be eliminated on aggregate after losing 4-1 in the first leg at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Olympique Lyonnais are coming off the back of three defeats from their last five games in all competitions, but have been a bit more convincing on home soil. OL have won at the Stade des Lumières in their most recent outing and will fancy their chances of at least winning this week given Ajax’s poor away form.
As for the visitors, Ajax are expected to reach the final as a result of their impressive performance in the first leg, but their woes on the road might see them coming unstuck in France. Ajax have lost their last two away games in all competitions, and have failed to win their previous five away games in the Europa League.
