Italy defender Massimo Oddo, loaned by AC Milan to Bayern Munich until June, said Friday he was ready to stay at the Bundesliga club.
“My loan comes to an end this summer,” the 32-year-old said. “I feel very good at Bayern and I could easily imagine myself staying in Munich.
“But it’s not me who’ll take that decision, but the club and management.”
Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness said that the club had until the “end of March, early April”, to exercise its right to buy the defender’s contract.
Oddo, a member of Italy’s World Cup-winning team in 2006, has made 12 Bundesliga and five Champions League appearances since his arrival in the Bavarian city.
