Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie would welcome a summer move to FC Porto, his official representative has confirmed.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a very good season with the Dutch giants before taking full advantage of the opportunities he received at the 2014 World Cup, which led to interest from some of Europe’s top sides.
Feyenoord are desperate to keep hold of the player and have even promised to make him a captain, but having learned of FC Porto’s attempts to recruit him, Clasie is eager to join the Dragons in the summer transfer window.
“He will seriously consider it when he returns (from vacation), but the idea is to make him a captain (at Feyenoord),” agent Wessel Weezenberg told O Jogo.
“But he told me that if Porto reached an agreement with Feyenoord, it would be very good for him.”
Jordy Clasie is another product of Feyenoord’s amazing youth academy and he has been at the club since 2000, making 98 Eredivisie appearances and scoring 6 goals.
Over the past year or so he has become an important player for both club and country, but it appears he will not be staying at De Kuip for much longer.
