According to Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis, Victor Osimhen is on the verge of signing a new contract with the Serie A champions.
🔵 Napoli president de Laurentiis on the future of Victor Osimhen: “We are at the signing stage of the new contract we’ve offered last summer”.
“Kvaratskhelia’s contract? What’s the point of asking about Kvara now — he still has four years on his contract”. pic.twitter.com/n6hGbqkMhl

The Nigerian striker was at the heart of Napoli’s Scudetto charge last season, with 31 goal involvements (26 goals, five assists) in 32 appearances in the Italian top flight in 2022/23. His current contract is set to expire in 2025, and Chelsea have reportedly been hoping to solve their goalscoring issues by taking him to Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
However, if what De Laurentiis says is true and the 24-year-old puts pen to paper on a new deal, their hopes will likely be dashed.
