According to Sky Sports, Ostersunds FK are interested in signing Ravel Morrison from Lazio. The Englishman is arguably one of the most controversial youngsters to have come out of English football in the last few years, with many believing that he was once the next big thing. Alas, he couldn’t quite make it work at either Manchester United or West Ham United, which certainly opens some doors for questions regarding how outside factors can impact a player’s development.
While making the switch to Sweden wouldn’t exactly serve as the end of his career, it would certainly put him under the radar – but maybe that’s a good thing. Morrison hasn’t been getting much game time with Lazio and that’s always a red flag, especially for someone who needs some game time in order to keep developing.
At the end of the day he’s only 25, and it’ll be interesting to see where this story goes from here.
