Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi looks set to leave Mestalla this summer, according to Cadena COPE.
Following an impressive debut season with los Che, the Argentina international has become one of the most sought-after defenders in world football and he has been heavily tipped to join Manchester United.
And it appears that the transfer talk is getting to the player as he has now informed the club officials that he does not feel ready to train with Valencia.
This is enough to suggest that Otamendi is hoping to leave the club in the coming weeks and chances are quite a few sides will be delighted with the latest developments.
The 27-year-old joined Valencia from Porto in January 2014, but he then enjoyed a short-term loan spell with Atletico Mineiro.
Since returning to Mestalla, Otamendi featured in 35 La Liga matches, scoring 6 goals, but everything suggests his stint with the Spanish giants is drawing to a close.
