It has been a busy deadline Day as usual in the Premier League.
In order to bolster their striking department and increase competition for places upfront Everton have completed the signing of Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Oumar Niasse for a fee of £13.5million.
The 25-year-old Senegal international has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal and has become the third-most expensive signing in club’s history behind Maroune Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku.
As the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is widely expected to leave Goodison at the end of the current season, with Manchester United already keeping close tabs on the forward who could be tempted to join his compatriot Fellaini at Old Traford, Roberto Martinez has secured the signing of a player that could become the frontrunner of Everton’s attacking line in future.
Niasse has netted 8 goals in 15 appearances in the Russian Premier League and he is a player characterized by quick pace and powerful shot, and a striker who is able to fill in different positions upfront.
Here is a glimpse of his quality, enough to tickle Everton fans’ imagination.
