Rennes starlet Ousmane Dembele has commented on the reported interest in his services from Bayern Munich and other top clubs.
The 18-year-old footballer has quickly become one of the most sought-after players in Europe, and deservedly so, having set the French Ligue 1 alight with his performances this season.
The talented winger has managed 10 goals and 5 assists in 19 league appearances this term, and he has now received his first ever call-up to the France Under-21 side.
Dembele has moved to suggest that he is fully focused on Rennes in spite of the heavy interest in his services, and he claims there has been no contact with Bayern Munich up to date.
“My head is not turned by what is said in newspapers. I am at Rennes for another three years, I am calm,” Dembele told Infosport +.
“I did not sign anything, I had no meeting. This is a big club, one of the top 4 in the world. But, there have been no discussions with Bayern.”
Ousmane Dembele boasts an impressive goalscoring record considering that he is mostly used on right or left wing, although he still has plenty of room for improvement, with coach Frederic Antonetti not hesitating to criticize the youngster for being too selfish at times.
