Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is open to staying at Camp Nou and extending his current contract with the Spanish and European giants, according to Cadena Ser. Dembele is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season, and the 24-year-old is now reportedly ready to resume talks with the Blaugrana over a new deal.
Dembele looked set to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window when it was decided that his current deal will not be extended. The 24-year-old has struggled with injury issues during his time at Camp Nou so far, but things have changed since Xavi was appointed as the head coach.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward is now playing regularly for Barcelona and gave two assists in the win against Real Madrid in El Clasico this past weekend. Dembele has made eight starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga so far this season, scoring one goal and providing nine assists in the process.
