Competition: Premier League
Market: Chelsea to finish in the bottom-half
Odds: 11/2 @ Bet 365

Chelsea endured yet another defeat in the Premier League on the weekend, suffering a 1-0 loss at home to AFC Bournemouth. The Blues remain in the bottom-half of the table as a result, and are only two points clear of the relegation zone after 15 games.

Manager Jose Mourinho finds himself under pressure to keep his job, with reports suggesting the Portuguese coach will be sacked before the end of the season, and Chelsea’s final position looks set to be their lowest in Premier League history as things stand.

Chelsea’s lowest ever finish in the Premier League is 14th in 1993/1994, but they look on course for such a disappointing campaign unless they can turn their form around. Seven points adrift of a top-half spot, Mourinho’s ruled out a Champions League place.

The Blues boss believes a top-six finish is still attainable despite the large gap, but results need to start backing up the claims. Eight defeats from 15 isn’t good enough, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 11/2 for Chelsea to miss out on a top-10 spot.

With 23 games still to play, there’s enough time for Chelsea to get themselves out of their current predicament, but they can’t seem to get a run of results together.
