Over 1.5 goals at Bournemouth vs QPR 4/11 for Tuesday’s Championship battle

Competition: Championship

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

In a battle between two sides who find themselves leading the chase in the play-off hunt, Bournemouth will welcome QPR to the South Coast on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Bournemouth might have been disappointed by their run of form when heading into the international break, the Cherries did find a much-welcomed boost over the weekend. Crashing out of the League Cup after a woeful 6-0 drumming at the hands of Premier League strugglers Norwich last month, Scott Parker’s new squad were last seen laying down a marker. Once again tipped as a leading pick in the play-off hunt this season, the former Fulham boss saw his side breeze their way to a 3-0 romp against Barnsley on the South Coast. Glad to have seen leading marksman Dominic Solanke extend on his early-season flurry, it should also be noted that Bournemouth have seen their four competitive home fixtures since opening the 2021/22 campaign produce 16 goals at both ends of the pitch.

As for the visitors, while QPR might have felt that they missed a golden chance away at Reading over the weekend, the Londoners did mount an eye-catching resurge on their travels. Despite falling 3-1 down on the road, the Hopps did snatch what was an action-packed 3-3 draw in Berkshire, a result that meant they managed to extend on their unbeaten start. With the mood in their camp likely to still be at a real high, Head Coach Mark Warburton now finds his side as one of just three Championship outfits who are yet to taste defeat. With their sights firmly set on clinching a play-off spot this season, QPR have also gained a reputation for their lively displays in the final third. Now bagging themselves over 1.5 goals in each of their last six straight matchups across all formats, it is hard to see anything over than another all-out affair here.
