Competition: Irish Premier Division
Market: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 3/5 @ Bet 365
Enjoying a stellar run of form, Dundalk will travel to a struggling Finn Park on Saturday night as they look to widen their buffer at the top of the Irish Premier Division.
Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another worrying display and shipping five against Bohmenains last weekend, Finn Harps find themselves enduring a woeful run of form. Freefalling to the foot of the table and losing their last four matches on the bounce, it will undoubtedly be their continued defensive issues giving Ollie Horgan the biggest headache. Shipping a very worrying 14 goals on their losing run, no team in Ireland’s top-tier have conceded more than the Harps’ 44 goals this year. Saturday’s hosts will also be concerned by their most recent showing against Dundalk. When the two sides met back in April, Horgan’s men slumped to a 3-0 hammering.
As for the visitors, while Finn Harps might be enduring a dreadful run of form, the same cannot be said for a high-flying Dundalk. Reclaiming their spot at the top of the table and once again impressing in their empathic 4-0 win at home to Sligo Rovers, the mood in Vinny Perth’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Enjoying a six-match winning run and unbeaten since the start of April, a huge part of the Reds’ rise has come down to their form in the final third. Scoring seven goals in their last two appearances, Dundalk have also really begun to shine away from Oriel Park. Saturday’s visitors have won their last four matches on the road and have scored two or more goals in each of those victories.
Bet: Over 2.5 goals at Finn Harps vs Dundalk 3/5 for Saturday’s Irish Premier Division showdown @ Bet 365
