Over 2.5 goals at Huddersfield Town vs Bristol City 1/1 for Tuesday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Over 2.5 goals

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

In what is a battle between two sides who are looking to end their respective ruts, Bristol City will make the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Huddersfield may have enjoyed an immediate bounce after brining in Danny Cowley earlier in the season, the Terriers appear to be slipping back to their old ways. Hit with a 3-1 defeat away at the Liberty over the weekend, the former Lincoln boss has seen his side land just a sole victory in their five matchups since opening February. Now fimrly at the heart of another relegation scrap, there is no doubt that fans around the John Smith’s Stadium will be most concerned by their side’s continued issues at the back. Shipping another trio of strikes in South Wales on Saturday, Huddersfield have now conceded three goals in three of their last five outings.

As for the visitors, also shipping a trio of strikes against title hopefuls West Brom over the weekend, Bristol City find themselves in an almost identical position to Tuesday’s hosts. Losing three of their last four and once again slipping out of those lucrative play-off spots, Lee Johnson’s men have also begun to show plenty of concern at the back. Also shipping three strikes in what was a woeful display against Birmingham earlier in the month, the Robins have failed to record a clean sheet over the past three weeks. While City might have a growing reputation for being an away day specialist, their trip to West Yorkshire could prove to be yet another lively contest.
