Over 2.5 goals at Lille vs AC Milan 10/11 for Thursday’s Europa League contest

Competition: Europa League

Market: Over 2.5 goals

Odds: 10/11 @ 888sport

In what could prove to be another high-scoring contest in midweek, Lille will welcome AC Milan to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Thursday night.

Starting with the hosts, making a thumping return to winning ways over the weekend, Lille managed to land a 4-0 romp against Lorient on home soil and they have largely shocked many across France this season. Only sat behind league leaders and defending Ligue 1 champions PSG, Les Dogues will undoubtedly be boosted by what was a famous performance out in Italy earlier in the month. Holding a one-point buffer over Thursday’s guests at the top of Group H, Christophe Galtier’s men secured a 3-0 victory at the San Siro and they will be desperate to match that level in midweek. It is also worth highlighting, along with that thumping win against Lorient over the weekend, Lille are unbeaten at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy since opening the 2020/2021 campaign.

As for the visitors, while AC Milan might have been hit with that thumping defeat against Thursday’s French opponents earlier in the month, the Italian heavyweights also find themselves shocking many thanks to a stunning domestic run. Finding a route to the top of the Serie A table and some even tipping them as a genuine title challenger this season, I Rossoneri really laid down a clinical marker over the weekend. Managing to pick up what was a 3-1 romp away at Napoli, Stefano Pioli’s men also have one attacking talisman enjoying a remarkable run of form. Bagging a brace at the San Paolo Stadium, a red-hot Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead their charge in midweek and has already notched himself 11 goals so far this season. In a contest that could see a string of chances, we’re backing over 2.5 goals on Thursday night.
