In what could prove to be an incredibly lively encounter, a resurgent New England will welcome LAFC to the Gillette Stadium in the early hours of Sunday.
Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another dominant display in their empathic 4-1 win at home to Orlando earlier in the week, the mood in New England’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Now reclaiming their spot in the play-offs and picking up three MLS wins on the bounce, the Revs have also not tasted defeat in America’s top-tier since the 9th of May. Arguably the in-form side in the Eastern Conference, there is no doubt that Head Coach Bruce Arena will be most impressed by his sides’ continued form in the final third. Along with bagging four against Orlando last time out, Sunday’s hosts have now scored two or more goals in each of their last six MLS matches.
As for the visitors, while Los Angeles may have seen their US Open Cup dreams come to and end last month, Bob Bradley’s men are unsurprisingly tipped to be crowned MLS champions this year. Already sat 11 points clear at the top of the West and coming off the back of a dramatic 4-3 win over defending champions Atlanta, the former USA Head Coach has seen his side win four of their last five MLS appearances and have continued to shine in the final third. Led by leading goalscorer and the red-hot Carlos Vela, LAFC hold the best-attacking stats in either Conference and have now scored a staggering 20 goals in just their last five outings.
Bet: Over 2.5 goals at New England Revolution vs Los Angeles FC 3/5 for Sunday’s MLS matchup @ Bet 365
