In what could be set to be an extremely lively encounter, NYCFC will welcome a struggling Houston Dynamo to Yankee Stadium on Friday.

Starting with the hosts, despite taking a 1-0 lead at half-time against Real Salt Lake over the weekend, a woeful second-half display saw NYCFC ship three goals and continue on what has been a very inconsistent spell. Despite holding a handful of games over the teams surrounding them in the Eastern Conference, former Manchester City coach Domènec Torrent has seen his side lose four of their last six contests, including crashing out of the US Open Cup in Orlando last month. Although fans around Yankee Stadium will be impressed by the sight of Alex Ring bagging back-to-back strikes, New York have recorded just a single MLS clean sheet since the start of May.

As for the visitors, putting in another lackluster display in their 1-0 loss at home to Chicago last weekend, Houston find themselves enduring a real struggle in America’s top-tier. Now losing back-to-back appearances and recording just a pair of victories since the middle of May, it will undoubtedly be their issues on the road giving Wílmer Cabrera the biggest headache. The Dynamo’s have lost nine of their last 10 matches outside of Texas, including a 5-0 hammering away at Atlanta last month. With seven of the last nine meetings between the two sides producing over 2.5 goals at full-time, we’re backing another lively encounter at the Yankee Stadium on Friday.
