Looking to gain some momentum before making their Premier League return next weekend, Norwich will welcome Atalanta to Carrow Road on Tuesday night.

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, while Head Coach Daniel Farke was far from impressed during Norwich’s 3-1 loss away at home to Brentford last week, the former Borussia Dortmund coach saw his side empathically bounce back against Luton over the weekend. Putting five past the returning Championship outfit, the Cannieries have continued to shine in the final third after a very eye-catching campaign in England’s second-tier last season. Bagging 93 Championship goals last season, the best return of any side in the division, the Yellows have now bagged eight goals in their last three pre-season outings and it is also worth noting that their last six consecutive matches at Carrow Road have produced over 2.5 goals.

As for the visitors, securing a record-breaking third-place finish in Serie A last season and securing Champions League football for fans in Bergamo, the mood in Atalanta’s camp will be on a high. However, despite gaining a fearsome reputation across Europe over the past 12 months, the Goddess’ did throw away a one-goal lead against Swansea last weekend and could only leave South Wales with a 2-1 defeat against their name. While Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have recorded just one clean sheet in their last six outings, they have continued to create chances in the final third. Finishing the last Serie A campaign with the best-attacking record, five clear of Juventus, Atalanta have bagged 10 goals in their last three appearances.
