With the chance to extend their buffer over Shamrock, a high-flying Dundalk will travel to Tallaght Stadium on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, suffering a 2-1 loss away at Europa League contenders Bohemians last time out, Stephen Bradley’s side have begun to show some defensive issues. Shipping a pair of goals in their last two appearances, there is no doubt that the Greens will be glad to make a return to Tallaght Stadium on Friday. Despite their well-publicised issues outside of Dublin, the Rovers have tasted defeat just once in front of their own supporters so far this season and have now managed to bag two or more goals in seven of their last 10 matches on home soil.

As for the visitors, already holding a five-point buffer over Shamrock at the top of the table, the mood in Dundalk’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Picking up an empathic 3-0 win away at Finn Harps last time out, Vinny Perth’s side are now enjoying a seven-match winning run and are unbeaten in their last 13 outings, a run that stems back to the middle of April. Unsurprisingly, it will be their continued showings in the final third most impressing Friday’s traveling fans. Finding the net 10 times in just their last three appearances, the Reds once again hold the best attacking return in Ireland’s top-tier.
