Over 2.5 goals at West Brom vs Swansea 1/1 for Wednesday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Over 2.5 goals

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

Now starting the post-Darren Moore era, West Brom will host fellow strugglers Swansea at the Hawthorns on Wednesday night.

Starting with the Baggies, slumping to a 1-1 draw with rock-bottom Ipswich over the weekend, West Brom’s three-match winless run saw Darren Moore sacked on Saturday evening. Chasing a nine-point deficit from the automatic positions, fans around the Hawthorns will be growing more concerned by their performances in the Midlands. The former Premier League outfit are yet to record a single home victory in 2019 and their defensive issues have continued to be a concern. Wednesday’s hosts are currently conceding two goals per game over the last month and no team in the playoff positions holds a worse defensive record.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of a 1-0 loss away at title contenders Norwich on Friday, it has been Swansea’s on-going issues away from South Wales really stifling their playoff ambitions. Now sat way down in 15th and any chance of a top-six finish widening by the week, Graham Potter has now seen his side lose their last four matches away from the Liberty Stadium. Also failing to record a single away clean sheet since a 0-0 draw with Wigan back in October, we’re expecting another lively encounter on Wednesday night. Playing out a 2-1 loss when they last faced West Brom back in November, we’re backing over 2.5 goals at the Hawthorns.
