Owen happy with United debut

New Manchester United signing Michael Owen was happy with his debut for the Red Devils against a Malaysia XI on Saturday.

Owen scored the winner for United in their 3-2 win in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“It’s just nice to play with players who are on your wavelength, spotting your runs and are just class players,” the 29-year-old told MUTV.

“It’s a nice feeling and it’s nice to play a game in the red shirt.

“Just to get off the mark for the season is nice, and it’s probably doubly good for me as it’s my first game as well.”
