Owen left out of England squad

Manchester United striker Michael Owen has once again been left out of Fabio Capello’s England squad.

The 29-year-old, who was included in a provisional 32-man squad for the friendly in Holland on Wednesday, will discover that he has been snubbed once again today.

An England insider told The Sun: “Fabio felt Michael had quite a good game against Valencia but he was alarmed by the chances he missed.

“He has his four strikers in mind for England and Michael needs to do a lot more to break in to the reckoning.”
