A report from the Sunday Telegraph suggests that Michael Owen’s proposed move to Stoke City looks as though it may have fallen through.
Owen is now weighing up his options after begin released from Manchester United this summer and a move to the Britannia Stadium looked to be the most likely.
However, it seems as though the two parties cannot agree personal terms and now the former England international may look to find another club.
The 32-year-old has admitted that he still wants to play in the English Premier League but he may not be able to find a team due to his run of injuries.
There is no doubt that on his day and when fit, Owen can be one of the best front men around.
He is a natural goal-scorer and will feel as though he does still have one last big move in him.
With just four appearances for the Red Devils last season, the former Liverpool man will need to get back to match fitness.
With the move to the Potters possibly off, a few other clubs could now be interested in securing Owen’s services.
Whoever does so will be taking a big risk though.
