According to a recent report from Sky Sports, West Ham United defender Reece Oxford is set to complete a permanent move to Augsburg in Germany – with the deal believed to be worth around £3 million. The club are attempting to agree personal terms with the youngster prior to their final game of the season, in an attempt to lock him down to a long-term contract. Oxford first burst onto the scene with the Hammers a few years back, when he broke into their first team at an incredibly young age. Since then he hasn’t quite been able to secure a permanent spot in the first team, and eventually, he was loaned out to Augsburg back in January. He’s clearly made a good impression during his seven appearances for the club, and now, it looks like he’ll be able to call the Bundesliga his permanent home sooner rather than later, which can only be a good thing for him.
