Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is closing in on signing a new contract with Arsenal, according to the Telegraph.
The winger’s future has been the subject of much speculation over the past few transfer windows with Liverpool among the clubs linked with a move to secure his services.
However, negotiations are ongoing and there is optimism that a deal can be agreed, with his wages set to rise to over £100,000-per-week.
Last season, the midfielder made his most league appearances in a single Premier League season since moving to the Emirates Stadium with twenty-nine outings – sixteen of which came as a start while he also played regularly in both domestic cup competitions and in the Champions League.
In total, he has now played one hundred and ninety-four times for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring twenty goals.
He will hope to earn what would be his twenty-sixth senior England cap on Saturday as the Three Lions take on Scotland at Hampden Park.
