Manchester United will need to shell out just £8m to secure the services of Mesut Ozil in the summer, according to the Daily Star.
The Germany international will be allowed to leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season if he fails to agree on a new deal with the Gunners, meaning any potential suitors will just need to negotiate a signing on fee.
Jose Mourinho appears to be the front runner in the race to secure Ozil’s services though a potential returns to Spain or Germany has been mooted.
The twenty-nine year old moved to the North London club from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 and has since racked up one hundred and seventy-four appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-five goals.
Internationally he has been capped eighty-eight times for Germany with a goal return ratio of one in four and was part of the squad that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
