Ligue 1 side Rennes are closing in on Argentine striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, according to Ouest France.
Les Bretons are set to complete a loan deal for Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard, but they could now add another high-profile footballer to their ranks.
Namely, Ouest France claims that Rennes have all but agreed to sign Pablo Daniel Osvaldo on a free transfer from Boca Juniors.
The controversial striker returned to La Bombonera in January after a short spell with FC Porto, but the Argentine giants opted against offering him a longer contract.
Rennes appear to have decided to take the gamble with the 30-year-old footballer, who is clearly good enough to perform at the highest level, although it remains to be seen whether he can improve his behaviour in Brittany.
The much travelled striker has so far represented no fewer than 12 clubs, while he also managed 4 goals in 14 Italy caps.
