Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta admits he could be leaving Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old will be out of contract in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether he will be offered a new deal by the club.
Zabaleta admits that he does not know what the future holds, but he will not be making any decisions before the current campaign comes to an end.
“I know my contract expires at the end of the season. I am 32, not getting any younger, so I need to make sure my decision is the correct one,” Zabaleta confessed to the Daily Mail.
“I want to be honest with the club, myself and everyone. It I decide to stay, I will stay. If I will decide that it is time to move on, I will move on. Until then, I don’t want to talk too much about it because I am more focussed on the season and trying to win something.”
Zabaleta only amassed 22 Premier League starts over the last two campaigns and it would appear as though his spell with the Citizens is drawing to a close.
But, with the experienced defender likely to be available on a free transfer next summer, he should have no problems in finding a new club.
After winning their last 4 Premier League fixtures, Manchester City can be backed at 1/4 to see off Stoke City and make it five on the trot.
