According to Sport, a loan deal that would see Paco Alcacer temporarily trade Camp Nou for Signal Iduna Park is all but done.
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is apparently aware of the striker’s impending departure and he had therefore decided not to name him in the squad to travel to Valladolid for a game the Catalans won by 0-1, thanks to a VAR decision that ruled out the home team’s late equalizer.
Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Alcacer has been reported before, and now it seems a deal has been reached. Sport quote German Bild in saying that the Bundesliga outfit will pay €2.2million to have the player who turns 25 in a few days at their disposal until June 30, 2019. The deal will also include and option to buy with the price set in the bracket between €20million and €25million.
Dortmund have also held interest in Liverpool’s Divock Origi, but the reported asking price for the Belgian of €30million seems to have been too steep for a deal to materialize.
