Turkish leaders Fenerbahce failed to take further distance from their rivals as they crashed to a painful 1-3 defeat by Kasimpasa on Saturday.

With Bursaspor beating Galatasaray a day earlier, ‘Fener’ had the opportunity to extend their lead from two to five points.

But things immediately went wrong against Kasimpasa, as the visiting side scored the opening goal though Gokhan Gulec in the very first minute.

Spanish striker Daniel Guiza reacted with the equaliser four minutes later, but Kasimpasa again went ahead shortly after the break, this time through Cenk Isler.

To make an end to any hope the home fans may have had left, Sahin Aygunes made it 1-3 with nine minutes to go.
