(GSM) – Galatasaray were already out of contention for the Turkish title but their third place is at risk as well after a 1-2 defeat by Antalyaspor on Saturday.
An own goal from Yalcin Ayhan put Galatasaray in the lead after 65th minute but the goal seemed to serve as a wake-up call for Antalyaspor as Tita equalised the very next minute.
It looked like the match was going to end that way until Veysel Cihan silenced the home crowd with a 90th-minute winner, 1-2.
Galatasaray are level on points with Besiktas but do have a slightly better goal record.
Bursaspor were handed this week’s automatic 3-0 win over disqualified Ankaraspor, which leaves them in first place with a two-points advantage over Fenerbahce. The latter do have Sunday’s away game to Ankaragücü in hand.
