Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami has confirmed that he has received an offer from Italian giants Juventus.
The Swiss Under-21 international only joined Fulham from Palermo in the summer, but he had the offer to return to Italy in January.
Juventus scouts spotted the player’s potential during his time at Renzo Barbera and tried to bring him to Turin in the winter transfer window.
Kasami has now moved to confirm reports that he indeed received an offer from the Bianconeri.
“I’m honoured to have received an offer from Juventus, a great club”, the Swiss midfielder told Blick.
However, the 19-year-old opted to remain at Craven Cottage and continue his development in a less demanding environment.
“But this is the middle of my first season with Fulham and I don’t want to leave at the moment.”
The youngster decided to remain in England despite finding it hard to earn a starting berth under Martin Jol.
“Of course, lately I haven’t been playing and I’m not happy about this, but I prefer to stay and try to establish myself.”
Kasami signed a contract until June 2015 after arriving from Palermo in the summer, but has since featured in just 6 Serie A games, failing to score a single goal in the process.
