Talk Sport is today reporting that Crystal Palace know they will face a tough fight to keep their starlet Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window and manager Dougie Freedman admitted he will let him leave when the time is right.
This is set to have caught the attention of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, who are reported admirers of the 19-year-old. He netted a brace in Palace’s 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship on Tuesday evening.
Zaha is being tipped by many as the next big thing from the London club and he could follow in the same footsteps as Victor Moses, who of course came through the ranks at Selhurst Park.
The January transfer window could be when either one, or both of Liverpool and Spurs make their move for the youngster, and it would be tough for palace to stand in his way.
However, Zaha is sure to want plenty of first-team action and that may not be a guarantee in the English Premier League, so he could wait until next summer before deciding where to ply his trade.
Both Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic have been linked with him in the past and they could now revamp their interest in the promising attacker.
