Palace move for Ings could signal the end of Fosu-Mensah deal

Crystal Palace are ready to send Timothy Fosu-Mensah back to Manchester United in order to free up a loan spot for Danny Ings, according to the Daily Star.

Defender Fosu-Mensah was brought in by Frank De Boer in the summer, though has barely featured since the former Ajax international was dismissed just four games into the season.

Despite seeing an improvement in results of late the Eagles are crying out for a new striker, after managing just eight goals in the league so far, the joint lowest return with Swansea City.

Ings is set to be the subject of much interest when the transfer window reopens next month, with Newcastle United also monitoring the situation.

The twenty-five year old hasn’t made a Premier League appearance since the end of the 2015/16 campaign, having struggled with injuries to his knee.

His sole outing for the Reds first team this term came as a substitute in the 2-0 EFL Cup defeat to Leicester City back in September.
