Palace star van Aanholt’s future uncertain

According to a recent report from ESPN, Crystal Palace star Patrick van Aanholt has said he’s keeping his options open heading into the summer.

The full-back’s contract is set to expire in June, and while some would like to believe he’ll remain at Selhurst Park, others feel as if it’s just a matter of time before he departs from the Eagles.

He’s one of many Palace players who are being linked with a switch away during the summer transfer window which makes sense, given the downward trajectory that the club seems to be on right now.

PVA confirmed that he did hold talks with PSV Eindhoven last January but, clearly, they didn’t come to anything. There would likely be many clubs interested in trying to sign him if the opportunity arose but for the time being, he needs to focus on keeping Palace in the Premier League after a poor campaign.
