(GSM) – Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore is full of ambition and has raised the bar after another great performance. “I hope to be like Zinedine Zidane.”
The talented Argentine scored the opener in his club’s win over Juventus on Thursday night and was close to another goal when he hit the woodwork.
“I am happy at the victory. We got a great result and that was the important thing,” he told Sky Italia.
“I am playing well, the team is doing great things and so we hope to carry on picking up positive results.”
Pastore has already been linked with a host of top clubs including Chelsea, Internazionale and Juventus.
“Am I like Zidane? He was a unique player, a true champion. I can only hope to be like him in future.”
‘El Flaco’ is also a fan of another Juve legend, although this one is still at the club.
“I asked for Alessandro Del Piero’s shirt after the game. He is an extraordinary champion and that’s why I wanted his jersey.”
