Serie A strugglers Palermo have confirmed they are on the verge of signing Galatasaray striker Milan Baros.
With Rosanero now four points adrift of safety in Serie A, they are in desperate need of reinforcements, even after signing Andrea Dossena and Salvatore Aronica.
Palermo sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco has been working hard on new signings and he admits Czech forward Milan Baros could be arriving at Renzo Barbera.
“I haven’t been to Istanbul for Baros. Is his arrival a done deal? No, it is not sure, but he could be a Rosanero,” Lo Monaco told reporters at a Lega Calcio meeting.
Given that Abel Hernandez is likely to miss the remainder of the season through injury, Palermo could really use a quality attacker to help Fabrizio Miccoli in the season finale.
Milan Baros, 31, may be a bit rusted having failed to feature in a competitive match since the Euro 2012, but his quality and experience could be a huge asset for the Rosanero.
The Czech Republic international has scored 47 goals in 92 Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray.
